Ron Graham, C.A., R.F.P., CFP

Ron is President of Ron Graham & Associates Ltd., a fee only Financial Planning firm. Ron provides independent and objective Financial Planning advice to individuals and group Financial Planning workshops.

Ron received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta in 1979 and went on to earn the designations of Chartered Accountant, Registered Financial Planner and Certified Financial Planner. Upon completing two years of public practice, concentrating on small business and personal tax, Ron moved into the top financial position in owner-managed small businesses for five years.

For over twenty years now, Ron has devoted his experience and expertise to the area of personal finance. His ability to use practical and straightforward approaches to problem solving has resulted in long-term benefits for his clients and seminar participants.

Ron has presented adult education seminars since 1986. In the last three years, Ron has made over 150 presentations. He has presented one hour, two hour, half day, one day, two day and three day workshops to all three levels of government employees as well as many well known corporations. Ron has also taught Certified Financial Planner courses at Grant McEwan Community College (thirteen three-hour sessions).

During his financial planning career, Ron has been associated with a national trust company, an international pension and benefits consulting firm and a national fee only financial planning firm.

Ron is a Past Chair of the Canadian Association of Financial Planners, Past-President of the Canadian Association of Financial Planners (Alberta) and was a Director of the Financial Planners Standards Council. Ron is also a member of the Alberta and Canadian Institutes of Chartered Accountants, the Estate Planning Council of Edmonton and Advocis (formerly CAFP).

Ryan Beebe, CGA, CFP, TEP

Ryan is a Partner in Caplan Beebe & Associates, a firm of independent Financial Planners providing advice and investment solutions for his clients.

Ryan graduated from the University of Alberta in 1974 with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in accounting. Since graduating he has been involved in recording, analyzing and reporting financial matters for both individuals and corporations.

In 1989 he joined a major trust company as a financial planner and before leaving in 1995 had advanced to being responsible for personal financial planning in Western Canada. During that time he was also actively involved in developing and presenting financial seminars for government, corporations and the general public.

For the last eight years he has continued to perform those functions with an independent financial planning firm. For several years Ryan taught the CFP courses for a local community college.

Ryan is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). In addition to being a Tax and Estate Practitioner (TEP), Ryan is also a Certified General Accountant (CGA).

Ryan is currently a member of the Ethics and Practice Committee of the Financial Planners Standards Council. He is also a Director of Advocis (formerly CAFP), a Past Chair of the Canadian Association of Financial Planners (Alberta) and a Past President of the North Alberta Chapter of the Canadian Association of Financial Planners.

Lynn Rock, M.Sc.

Lynn is a Principal with Symmetry Consulting Group, which provides individual coaching support and group workshops dealing with life transitions.

As the former Director of the Edmonton Branch of a national Career Transition and Organizational Consulting firm, Lynn has provided consulting services for a number of Canada's leading organizations. As well as providing leadership for her Edmonton team and delivering the company's core services, Lynn also provided leadership for both small and large-scale organizational projects. Lynn has a strong ability to elicit and respond to client needs, and is known for her collaborative approach, while providing high quality, innovative service.

Additionally, Lynn is an experienced and sensitive facilitator who has been researching, designing and delivering creative learning opportunities for people in the Corporate, Not-for-profit, Education and Healthcare sectors for a number of years.

In recognition of her work in researching, designing and implementing a unique support service for widowed persons; Lynn was honored with a YWCA Tribute to Women (Women of Distinction) award for her outstanding contribution to the Edmonton community. She also co-authored a peer-counselling manual, which became a prototype for Hospice Calgary.

As a gifted mentor, Lynn has supported hundreds of individuals through a variety of transitions such as career change, job loss, retirement, health loss and the death of a loved one. She has a talent for assisting others in seeing and realizing new possibilities for themselves.

Lynn views herself as a lifelong learner and in that capacity she is qualified in using and interpreting the MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator); is certified as a consultant and facilitator of Values Technology processes; is versed in Jungian Psychology, the Enneagram and numerous approaches to stress management; and she has trained with William Bridges, PhD in Managing Organizational Transition. Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics from the University of Alberta and a Master of Science Degree in Counselling Psychology and Gerontology from the University of Oregon.

Rein Selles, M.Sc., P.R.P.

Rein is President of Retirement/Life Challenge Ltd., a firm specializing in research, development and adult education in the fields of retirement and life planning.

Rein undertook his Bachelor of Recreation (Honours) at the University of Waterloo and in 1987 he completed a Master of Science in Family Studies at the University of Alberta. In 1997, Rein received his designation as a Professional Retirement Planner from the Canadian Association of Pre-Retirement Planners.

Rein's 25 years of experience with retirees and their families, his understanding of late life development issues and his humour in professional presentations have made him a popular public speaker and presenter to over 30,000 Canadians.

Professionally, Rein sits on the Editorial Board of the International Society of Retirement Planners and is Chairman of the Standing Committee supervising the Canadian Registry of Professional Retirement Planners. He is a Past President of the Canadian Association of Pre-Retirement Planners and the Alberta Association of Retirement Planners.
